Scammers often impersonate legitimate businesses such as NPD. Please note that NPD Online Research will NOT do any of the following:

• Invite you to participate in a mystery shopping program.
• Mail you a check to cash and tell you to keep a portion of the proceeds after making a purchase.
• Ask you to provide us with financial information such as credit card/bank account numbers.

Throughout your internet activities it's important to be on the lookout for fraud and to remember that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from NPD, please forward it to spoof@npd.com.  We'll respond within 72 hours and let you know if it's a legitimate NPD email.

To report fraud/phishing emails to the appropriate authorities, please forward them to spam@uce.gov and/or reportphishing@antiphishing.org. You can also file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and Internet Crime Center.
